Photos from late May, on a stroll in central Beijing with a dear friend I've known since kindergarten. Exploring hutongs, alleyways and tourist destinations, we were amazed by the amount of history that's been layered onto the city. My eyes kept on wondering to find interesting spots and objects, but I'm sure every visit feels different for everyone, and the next time I walk by, I will discover new exciting things.

that mural is just super. all the little signage, stickers on the buildings, and the fact that you can't see where one building ends and where the next begins is beautiful
